Refund Policy

1. Overview

Because RentAGun operates within a federally regulated industry and incurs non-refundable costs (e.g., shipping, FFL fees, compliance checks), all refunds are subject to the terms outlined below.

This policy applies to all firearm rentals, gear packages, and subscription services unless stated otherwise.


2. Cancellations 

An order placed with Rentagun.com may be cancelled by the customer prior to the order having been shipped.

Once the firearm is in transit, a cancellation will result in:

  • $35 processing fee
  • Shipping charges (both directions)

  • FFL processing fees incurred

To cancel, contact support@rentagun.com with your full name and order number.


3. Failed Background Check or Transfer Denial

If your FFL refuses the transfer due to a failed background check or regulatory disqualification a partial refund will be issued, minus:

  • $35 processing fee
  • Shipping charges (both directions)

  • FFL processing fees incurred

Important: It is your responsibility to understand and comply with all firearm laws in your jurisdiction before placing an order.


4. No Refund After Firearm Pickup

Once you take possession of the firearm from your FFL:

  • The order is final and non-refundable

  • Returning the firearm early does not entitle you to a partial refund

  • If the firearm is defective or unsafe, report it immediately to the FFL for documentation and we will arrange a replacement if available


5. Late Returns or Non-Returns

If a firearm is returned late, you will be charged the daily rental rate until the firearm is returned. If the firearm is not returned, daily charges will continue to accrue until they equal the firearm’s full retail value.

  • RentAGun reserves the right to:

    • Convert the rental to a final sale

    • Report the item as stolen

    • Pursue legal recovery

Refunds are not available in cases of late, damaged, or missing returns.


7. Subscription Cancellations

If you are enrolled in a monthly subscription program:

  • Subscriptions are non-refundable once billed

  • You may cancel at any time to stop future billing

  • No prorated refunds will be issued for partial months


8. Refund Request Instructions

To request a refund:

  • Email: support@rentagun.com

  • Subject line: “Refund Request – [Your Order Number]”

  • Include: Full name, order number, and reason for the request

We typically respond within two business days.


9. Exceptions

At our discretion, store credit or alternative accommodations may be offered in cases involving:

  • Fulfillment errors

  • Delays caused by inventory issues

  • Equipment that is damaged in transit

  • Valid emergencies, evaluated case-by-case
