S&W 686-4 in .357 Magnum with a 2.5-inch barrel — the rarest barrel length on the most popular L-frame S&W ever made.
The Smith & Wesson 686 is the gold standard for .357 Magnum revolvers: L-frame construction, all-stainless steel, six-round cylinder, and legendary S&W quality. The '-4' designation is a specific engineering revision, and the 2.5-inch barrel is the hardest configuration to find — S&W sold far more 4-inch and 6-inch examples. Pre-Lock (no internal lock in the sideplate) and featuring a firing-pin-mounted hammer, this is a 686 in one of its most desirable configurations. The 2.5-inch tube makes it compact enough to carry but still fully manageable with full-power .357 loads.
