Ruger Speed Six in .357 Magnum, stainless — the compact service revolver trusted by law enforcement throughout the 1970s and 80s.
The Ruger Speed Six was built specifically for law enforcement: stainless steel construction, 4-inch barrel, double-action/single-action trigger, and chambered in .357 Magnum with the ability to also shoot .38 Special. Police departments across the country issued these alongside S&W revolvers, and Ruger's robust design meant they kept running in conditions that would have put other revolvers down. The Speed Six was discontinued in 1988, replaced by the GP100 — which means originals in this condition are becoming harder to find. A serious revolver with a legitimate duty history.
