The Ithaca XL900 was Ithaca's premium gas-operated semi-auto shotgun line from the 1970s, and the 20-gauge version is the sweet spot of the family. Light, fast-swinging, and chambered for upland hunting, the XL900's gas system softens recoil noticeably compared to fixed-breech designs. The engraved receiver on this example puts it above the standard production run — Ithaca reserved the engraving work for their top-tier guns.
