Every rental requires a standard NICS background check at pickup, just like purchasing a firearm.

No. Federal law prohibits taking rented firearms across state lines without the owning FFL’s written permission. Rentals remain FFL property; unauthorized transport is an illegal interstate transfer.

You are responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of the firearm, up to its full retail value. To reduce your risk, we offer optional insurance at a rate of $1 per $100 of the firearm’s retail value (rounded up to the nearest dollar).

Yes. Several of our rifles come optics-ready, making them great for hunting. We also offer hunting rental packages with firearms suited for a variety of game — all shipped to an FFL dealer near you.

Rental periods are customizable, with a minimum of 4 days and a maximum of 30 days.

RentAGun firearms aren’t available for purchase at this time, but if you find one you love, you’re free to buy it from your preferred dealer.

Yes. You can rent as many firearms as you like — there’s no limit on browsing or ordering. If you plan to try multiple guns regularly, our Pro Membership offers discounted rates that make it easy. But membership is never required: rent as often as you want, no strings attached.
